On Labor Day, I've been laboring
Sep. 4th, 2017 08:50 pmI spent today working- but not for pay.
Yes, I have the day off, and so do both of my sons (who are adults). We did eat together today, something we don't always manage on weeknights.
First, I cleaned.
Then I ran to the store and bought some sturdy blinds to replace the miniblinds my cats keep tearing up to look out of the window.
Putting up blinds should be no big deal right? Except I am not at all used to working on anything over my head. Not to mention that put screws in wrong. Twice. My arms and upper back are sore, but I have the blinds in the kitchen up at least.
I also cleaned the windows and washed the curtains and wound up cleaning under the freezer because I had to plug the drill in behind behind it and discovered a mess ( to put it politely).
I think I'm looking forward to going back to work.
