Good intentions don't mix with rain
May. 31st, 2017 08:18 pmI have a large yard- about 3/4 of a acre. I mow it with a self-propelled mower right now. I split into three sections and get it down over three weekdays, counting it as my exercise for those days- after all, I'm walking from 45 min to an hour at a time. Usually I do this after dinner.
Well, today I got work a little earlier than usual, and I decided to get out and mow.
Bad move. It was hot, with the sun beating down. I stopped after half an hour, with only a small part of the very end of the back yard left, to get a drink and rest a moment.
And it rains. For a bit, it's light, and I hope to get out and finish that small part. Then the thunderstorm passed by, dumping some heavy rain for about 20 minutes before it leaves. Just enough that I can't mow.
So much for good intentions. Argh.
