Finished the novel- now what?

I have finished my novel

Now what?

I'm hoping to get someone to read it all the way through and give me an honest opinion (plus some proofreading). I always miss a few small things.
Sooner or later I'd like to publish it, but I'm having a hard debate whether to actually submit it somewhere or not.

Ah, well. Decisions, decisions.

Very cool! Good luck with finding an editor. I know there are a lot of folks around LJ and elsewhere on the net who can help out with the initial editing process. beta_search might be able to help you out. They seem to be fairly active over there.

As for publishing it, go for it. The worst that they can say is no and then you self-publish. It really can't hurt to try the traditional route :)
