I am going to be published!

I got an e-mail today from Whiskey Creek Publishers, offering me a contract for my story Shelled. I'm in shock. I never really expected an acceptance.

I'm very happy about it, don't get me wrong, I just didn't expect it.

I am also a little intimidated. The contract they offered is seven pages long- in small print. That does not count the tax paperwork, and the information sheets on me, on ideas for the cover art, and what will go on the book jacket.

And the whole thing will take about a month to finalize. Maybe two months before it's up. This will be e-book format.

You never think about the nuts and bolts when you're writing the story, do you? I sure didn't.
